T – 11:  ‘Repairing the Breach’ Event

Tour minus 11 days…the Countdown has begun for Repairing the Breach‘s “Nourish the Nations” American Summer Tour.

Yesterday, we shared with you about the first event we will have in each city we visit, the Shabbat Fellowships (if you missed that T-12 Update, read it here)

Today, with just 11 days left until head out on Tour, we are giving you more detail about our second event of the week, which takes place on Saturday evenings:  Repairing the Breach:  Realizing the Gospel of the Kingdom in Your Community

This Has Gotta Stop!

Can we be super-straightforward with you?

We do not like the dog-eat-dog atmosphere that is pervasive in the Body of Messiah.    (And we’re figuring you don’t either.)

Somehow, over the past 2000 years, we went from Y’shua (Jesus) praying that we would be one as He and the Father are one, to more than 40,000 denominations.  Oy vey!

And as much as the Messianic/Hebrew Roots movement likes to believe it is different from the mainstream church, from what we’ve seen, it is just as denominational and divisive.

It’s truly heartbreaking because no one seems to want it to be this way, and yet somehow we’ve become this ‘monster’.  The world watches us, and what do they see?

Love, Holiness, Unity

As you can tell by our name, we here at Repairing the Breach are taking another angle on all this.

While we are far from the “it’s all good” attitude of the hyper-grace liberal church, we are also not so quick to dismiss fellow believers based on seeming disagreement on theology and doctrine that so many practice.

It’s a fine line to walk, but we seek the Spirit for continual guidance.  (If you’ve figured out how to do this perfectly yourself, please let us know.  😉 )

Y’shua (Jesus) said that the world would know that we are His disciples because of the LOVE we have for each other.  This is a truly self-sacrificial love, the kind  Messiah practiced when He died for our sins.   By the Holy Spirit, He expects us to do the same!

Repairing the Breach‘s watchword is:  “Love, Holiness, Unity”.  This is what we must attain and maintain in order to be in true fellowship with each and build genuine faith communities.  “Love, Holiness, Unity” is also a pattern to get us there.

You see, first we need LOVE, real love, from the Father, demonstrated by the finished work of the Son, fully manifested by the indwelling of the Spirit, and then shown abroad to the world in His Name.

Then, and only then, can we walk in HOLINESS.  Genuine “set-apartness” from this world, observing and guarding His commands in a way that only those with the Holy Spirit are able.  “If you love Me,” Y’shua (Jesus) said, “then keep my commandments.”  (John 14:15)

When we truly LOVE, and truly walk in HOLINESS, then, and only then, we will experience true UNITY, both with God and with our brothers and sisters in the faith.

Y’shua told us that the world would know that we are His disciples because of the love that we have for one another.  (John 13:35)  And that we are to love one another as He has loved us.  (John 15:12)

LOVE compels us to HOLINESS.   As the Spirit takes us through this sanctification process, we become conformed into the likeness of the Son (Romans 8:29), we decrease and He increases, and therefore we arrive at UNITY with Him and each other.

Through this process, we “Repair the Breach”.  All of them.  Between man and God, husbands and wives, parents and children, friends and neighbors, denominational divisions, you name it. Everything!

His plan is SO AWESOME!

Join Us as We Repair the Breach

On Saturday evening in the cities we visit, as the Sabbath draws to a close, join us for a time of musical worship, and then a presentation about what it truly means to be a “repairer of the breach” according to Scripture.

We’ll be sharing the vision the Almighty gave us more than a decade ago for this Isaiah 58 restoration ministry, and how he’s challenged us through the years to truly walk it out.

We want to help you be fully reconciled to Him, so you can then help others get there too, and together we can build genuine faith communities that powerfully witness the Gospel of the Kingdom.

At this event you’ll be encouraged to (1) walk in your specific calling, (2) be a leader in your local area (and beyond), and (3) live a life in committed service to the Almighty every day!

If you know that there’s got to be more to your faith life, have a heart that breaks for all the division in the body of Messiah, and desire to be part of community like we read about in the Book of Acts, then please join us for an evening of heavenly vision-setting and down-to-earth equipping.

Yes, it’s really possible for us to see this come to pass in our generation, as Y’shua told us that the Kingdom is already here!
